Periodic Table
Unbihexium, also known as eka-plutonium or more generally as element 126, is the hypothetical chemical element with the symbol Ubh and atomic number 126. Unbihexium and Ubh are the temporary IUPAC name and symbol, respectively, which are used until the element is discovered, confirmed and a permanent name is decided upon. This eighth-period element would belong to the superactinid family, and would be part of the g-block elements. Unbihexium has attracted the attention of nuclear physicists, particularly in the early predictions of the properties of superheavy elements, because 126 protons could be a magic number near the center of an island of stability, leading to longer isotope half-lives, predicted by the layered model of the atomic nucleus
